lots of words

I've written abt 16,000 words as of today, which is good. I don't have an outline or a synopsis. I have a setting and a list of scenes that might be in the novel somewhere. So far this is keeping me happy.
I'm writing it all on my laptop--I started there, and now I feel that it has to stay there: a jinx kind of thing. So far most of it has been written sitting on my bed, two pillows behind my back, one on my lap under the computer. From my bedroom window I can see the leaves falling off the pear tree.
As always, I'm worried that I have too many characters (already!). And I'm a little concerned about point of view. Am I being omniscient? Or do I want to POV hop, doing serial 3rd person limited?

new novel, new blog

I have another novel going--I'm 5000 words in, approximately (or if your prefer, exactly 5013. Some of my characters have names (Kate, Gwen, Ronnie, Jess, Alejandro), and some don't (some nameless children of Kate, Alejandro's secret girlfriend).
